Just days after Star Wars: The Force Awakens landed on Blu-Ray, Disney gets back to promoting the beloved intergalactic franchise, unveiling the first official trailer to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Taking place before the original trilogy, this spin-off film is one of many in the pipeline for LucasFilm and company. As the title would suggest, the movie will follow a band of Rebel fighters led by Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) as they attempt to steal the Death Star plans. The film was directed by Gareth Edwards, and is set to be followed up with a Han Solo spin-off film in 2018, along with Episode VIII in 2019. Christmas will once again come early for Star Wars fans as Rogue One is slated for a December 16th release date.
