Swiss luxury watchmaker Roger Dubuis is no stranger to motorsports, as the brand sponsors Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse division in their racing exploits. Italian performance tire-maker Pirelli also knows a thing or two about automobile racing, naturally. And for the latest collaboration between the two brands, Roger Dubuis and Pirelli looked at the unsung heroes of motorsports — the pit crew — to create one innovative luxury watch.
On most watches, the straps can easily be swapped out to suit your taste. But the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli goes further by incorporating a unique Quick Release System for not only the bracelet but also the bezel and crown, allowing you to quickly transform the entire look of your watch. The timepiece’s natural state is black DLC-coated titanium with a strap made of rubber from race-winning Pirelli tires, but an additional kit includes straps, bezels, and crowns in Pirelli shades of red, white, and blue, visually giving you four different watches. The Excalibur Spider Pirelli is powered by the caliber RD820SQ, which is a 166-piece automatic skeletonized movement with a micro-rotor and the brand’s trademark star-shaped bridge. Available to order now, the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli is priced at $76,000.
