Roger App

Getting your friends on the phone can be tough, especially in the age of the simple text message. Having to be near a phone and available at the same time hinders our ability to have a phone conversation. Now, there’s Roger, an app that lets you keep in touch with your friends and family by having them on-demand.

It’s built by the same company that brought us Spotify, and to use it, you simply enter your friend’s phone number, tap to talk, and send them a voice message. When your friend is available and finds some free time, they can listen to your voice message, and respond appropriately by doing the same (tapping to talk and then send a reply). The app is simple to use, and it works nicely for responding to friends while you’re driving and can’t take your eyes off the road to type out a message. The app is available for free on the app store.
