An Elite Online Auction Is Selling Off Rare Babe Ruth & Ty Cobb Rookie Cards

Despite multiple generations having passed since the majority of them retired, there are a number of ballplayers that have left an indelible mark on the sport of baseball. And an ongoing online Robert Edward Auctions sale is currently selling over 1,000 baseball cards and other noteworthy pieces of sports memorabilia associated with some of the most legendary players ever to have swung a bat.

A sports lover’s dream-come-true, the sale features some of the most valuable baseball cards in existence, with lots from this prestigious sale including an original 1951 photograph of Willie Mays that was used for his 1953 Topps Card, multiple rare Cy Young cards, a 1914 Joe Jackson Cracker Jack Ball Players card, mint condition 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle card, 1955 Roberto Clemente Topps rookie card, and a mint condition 1954 Hank Aaron Topps rookie card, just to name a few. There’re also multiple George Herman “Babe” Ruth cards including a 1933 Big League Chewing Gum card, a 1915 Red Sox team card from Babe’s rookie year, and a 1916 SGC rookie card. The crown jewel of the sale, however, is undeniably a 1902-1911 Ty Cobb rookie card, which (at the time of writing) has its current bid at $200,000 with more than nine days remaining.
