Ring’s Video Doorbell Pro 2 Has Radar To Detect Potential Home Invaders

With video doorbells becoming commonplace, it was only a matter of time before additional innovations were introduced to the product category. That time has come, as Ring’s new Video Doorbell Pro 2 adds radar capabilities that offer homeowners a bird’s eye-view of whoever enters their yard.

Ring calls their radar tech 3D Motion Technology, and here’s how it works. First, you set up a specific threshold in front of your house. Then, when someone passes that threshold, the radar sensors kick in to track their movements, which you can view via an aerial map in real-time or in your event history. The new feature brings unprecedented levels of home security awareness, allowing you to see not only who visits your property, but also every step they take while there. In addition to the 3D Motion feature, the Pro 2 also offers 1536p HD head-to-toe video for a crystal-clear view, built-in Alexa Greetings to screen and deal with visitors, and, of course, total control from the Ring app. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 is available now from Amazon for $250.
