Rimac Concept One is a hell of a supercar. This electric powered beast produces up to 1,088 horsepower via the four electric engines placed by each of the wheels. That might sound like a scary amount of power for a car to handle, but the team at Rimac Automobili have designed a special all-wheel drive system with something they call torque-vectoring. Put in rough terms, the way this technology works is that it adjusts the torque of each engine at up to 100 times per second making it so the driver can control all of that energy no matter what situation they’re in.
As if all that tech isn’t cool enough – this car boasts a sprint time of 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, and 0-186 mph in 14 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 220 mph. Rimac will be presenting it’s premier vehicle at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and will be retailing them for just under $1 million.
