Few athletes fall into Reigning Champ’s inspirational niche like Muhammad Ali, and over the years, we’ve seen various releases in homage to the legendary boxer. Now, the brand has announced its most recent collection of Ali-clad merchandise, complete with training-focused tees, hoodies, shorts, and a hooded robe.
At the heart of the collection, an Ali Portrait tee and Cut-Off sweatshort make their debut. These limited-edition garments feature screen-printed accents and iconography, including a titled portrait of the boxer, and tasteful lettering throughout. The very same portrait can be found on the collection’s Relaxed Hoodie, which brings set-in/raglan sleeves, flatlock seams, and cotton ribbing to the forefront for those who want to hit the gym in style. Where the collection really takes off, however, is with its Training jacket, shirt, and short. To give the jacket an edge on the rest of the capsule, it’s been adorned with a reflective “Truth” graphic, complementing its technical, four-way stretch fabric and dual-zip kangaroo pocket. The Training tee, on the other hand, features Ali’s legendary ‘Truth’ poem — delivered in 1974 — on its left breast. Reigning Champ rounds out the collection with a similarly-fashioned Terry robe, which has been finished with rib-bound sweatshirt pockets, flatlock seams, and an oversized hood.
