REI Discount Used Gear Shop

Oct 11, 2017

Category: Gear

It looks as if we’re seeing a new trend in the outdoor industry; online used gear shops. Not long ago Patagonia rolled out an independent e-commerce platform for their Worn Wear program, and now REI has joined the club with their own discounted equipment store.

The store, which is live now, is selling used apparel and camping equipment like stoves, tents, and backpacks for hikers and outdoorsmen looking to get out into the woods on a budget. The way it works is really simple. REI takes the clothes and equipment that are returned by customers, examines them for any faults or defects, and then puts the most pristine up for sale on their used store for a discount. For those who care more about utility and less about getting that fresh out of the box feel – this is ideal. Take a look through the store and gear up for your next trip.
