Reebok Gives Its Zig Kinetica II A Winter-Ready, All-Weather GORE-TEX Update

First debuting in early 2021, the Zig Kinetica II has quickly become one of Reebok’s most popular shoes. And with ZK2s flying off the shelves, Reebok has opted to treat the sneaker to a robust all-weather revision for the 2021 Fall/Winter season.

Dubbed the Zig Kinetica II Edge GTX, the shoe retains some of its predecessor’s silhouette while adding an all-new upper setup. Crafted from a stretchy synthetic textile with polyurethane overlays, the uppers feature waterproof zippers, a quick-drying liner, a full GORE-TEX Infinium membrane, and GORE-TEX’s Thermium Insulation. The ZK2 Edge GTX is secured via a Velcro flap, buckle, and elastic band system, and comes lined with an ultra-grippy Vibram Ecostep outsole. Taking a page out of the running shoe playbook, these shoes are also equipped with Reebok’s Floatride Fuel system, Floatride Energy feature, and the company’s “Jig Energy Shell” that collectively hugely bolster energy return, cushioning, and comfort. Offered in Chalk and Pure Gray or All Black color options, the Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge GTX is available now with pricing set at approximately $190.
