Reebok’s 100% Sustainable Running Shoe Is Made From Algae & Eucalyptus
It was once thought that high-performance gear and eco-friendly offerings were mutually exclusive. However, with a bit of ingenuity and clever engineering, that old assumption has been proven completely incorrect. The latest bit of proof in that endeavor comes in the form of a performance running shoe from Reebok — the Forever Floatride GROW.
Made to reside in the upper echelon of performance footwear, these are runner’s sneakers through and through — from their cushiony midsole to their grippy outsole and even the comfortable sock liner. However, these ones differ in a pretty major way: they’re 100% sustainable and plant-based, made from a combination of castor beans, eucalyptus, algae, and natural rubber. If you hope to get your hands on a pair of these best-in-class eco-friendly runners, however, you’ll have to wait until they’re available for purchase in the fall of 2020.
