PreRunner vehicles are essentially rally reconnaissance machines that are used to scout out routes in some of the world’s toughest motor races like the Baja 1000 and Dakar Rally. And while there are a number of companies that produce purpose-built PreRunners, few, if any do it better than California’s Jimco Racing. Since being founded by a Navy Engineer in 1975, the Santee-based outfit has racked up more than 600 race wins and 90 championship titles, and though Jimco already boasts a deep catalog of top-notch luxury PreRunner builds, it’s now pulled the cover off its latest completed work: the Reaper.

Despite its Ford Raptor-esque aesthetic, the Reaper actually consists of a custom-engineered off-road chassis encompassed by a fiberglass body. Riding on a set of 40” all-terrain tires the PreRunner features a full Fox Factory Suspension setup that affords a generous 26” of travel out front and 32” in back. Under the hood, the pickup also packs an 800hp engine. Moving inside, the Reaper sports a beautifully-finished custom interior with racing seats, camo-adorned accent paneling, and multiple touchscreen navigation and instrumentation systems, all adorned in bespoke leather upholstery.
