Real-Life Mario Skate

Corridor Digital knows just how to get our attention. The same talented team that brought us the real-life Grand Theft Auto video earlier this year is back in action with an even more impressive short video – Mario Skate.

The short was filmed in 60fps and follows Mario’s companion Luigi through the streets, as he faces a ton of familiar Nintendo enemies on the course. Rather than riding the traditional go-karts found in the beloved Mario Kart video games, this mustached hero is cruising on a Boosted Longboard, one of our favorite electric skateboards to date. Of course he’s also got some handy power-ups to help him along the way. The video spans 2 minutes and 20 seconds long, and we’re hoping the fine folks at Nintendo are watching, because this could make for one hell of a game.
