Some thing are just hard to improve on. The wheel, for instance, has a had a pretty solid run over the past whoknowshowlong. As of yet, it doesn’t seem like anyone has really managed to bring something all that much better to the table. The same can be said of much of Ray-Ban’s classic silhouettes. They’re tried, true, and not in need of a whole lot of improvement. This, in part, is why this new Ray-Ban Outdoorsman Craft Sunglasses are so impressive.

The simple addition of a perforated leather along the frame, top-bar, and earpieces of the sunglasses have gone a long way in making the sunglasses that much more attractive. It wasn’t like there was an issue with the solid aviator sunglasses to begin with. Far from it. The new treatment simply imbues the old-school sun-blockers with a sporty but refined look that also just happens to be super comfortable. Right now you can pick these up in green, brown, or yellow lenses with a price tag around $190.

Purchase: $190
