Although Rapha is traditionally known for its stylish outdoor gear, the cycling apparel specialist recognizes the benefits of indoor training. Earlier this year, the brand set out to change the way cyclists dressed when riding inside, with a line of bibs and jerseys developed specifically for such purposes. In collaboration with audio authority Bang & Olufsen, Rapha has released a set of earbuds intended to take indoor training to the next level.
In stock form, the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay E8 earbuds are already capable performers in athletic applications. For instance, they come with an IP57 dust-proof and water-resistance rating — a must-have for bouts of training when sweating is all but assured. What’s more, they’re shipped with a number of silicone fit pieces to guarantee that they stay in your ears throughout your workout. And for the special edition model, Rapha has further optimized the E8s for cycling performance. They come with a redesigned wireless charging case that’s easily pocketed during rides, as well as grooves on the earphones to improve grip when wet. Last but not least, they feature an anodized aluminum ring in signature Rapha pink. Pricing has yet to be announced, but they’ll be available starting November 16th.
