Some medieval Europeans believed narwhal tusks to be the horns from the legendary unicorn; it looks like Los Angeles-based artists Kozyndan subscribe to that theory too. In case you’re not familiar with narwhals, they’re similar to beluga whales, but narwhals are distinguished by their long tusks, which are actually elongated upper left canines. They also suck in their food, which is pretty cool.

This 24-inch long resin “Rainbow Magic” sculpture reveals exactly why the mighty narwhal has that fabulous protrusion: there’s a unicorn is inside it. Each of the 8 sculptures is handmade and come with a stand and a certificate of authenticity– just in case your skeptic friends don’t believe in unicorns. [Purchase]
