Qualcomm has long been manufacturing chipsets and components for some of the world’s most cutting-edge smartphones and mobile devices, though the San Diego-based tech outfit has now revealed its very own state-of-the-art handset with what’s been dubbed the “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders.“

Designed in collaboration with ASUS, the SFSI is built around Qualcomm’s award-winning Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform and features an HDR10 and HDR10+ certified 6.78” Samsung AMOLED display with 1,200 nits of brightness, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a Qualcomm Adreno 660 GPU. The smartphone’s camera system is no less impressive, with a three-lens setup with 2.7 Gigapixels, 8K video capabilities, and AI-powered tracking and auto-zoom. In addition to gamers and photographers, the SFSI is also aimed at audiophiles, and boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound, a fully adjustable EQ, and is sold with a custom branded pair of Master & Dynamic’s $299 MW08 ANC earbuds. Scheduled for a release in the coming months, the Qualcomm Smartphone For Snapdragon Insiders will be priced at $1,499.
