Prior Design’s Group B Audi Coupe Body Kit Is A Love Letter To ’80s Racing
Although the auto customization market is rife with body kits for in-production models, it gets a bit trickier when trying to source parts for older vehicles. Sure, tuning legends like the MK IV Supra and the S2000 will always get their just desserts, but should you stray off the beaten path, your off-the-shelf options can be few and far between.
Well-steeped in the world of aftermarket body parts, German-based Prior Design offers support for everything from the Mini Cooper to the Rolls Royce Wraith. With their latest offering, they’ve looked back to the age of Audi’s rally dominance, resulting in an eye-catching aesthetic that could be ripped straight from the 80s. Designed for the 1988 Audi Coupé, this boxy body kit features widened wheel arches, aggressive bumpers, and bladed rocker panels. Around the front, it also gains a custom hood with slatted air intakes for a Quattro-inspired nod. At the rear, Prior Design has fitted the kit with an updated bumper-diffuser and a set of oval exhaust tips — a combination that gives the otherwise-retro Coupé a touch of modern styling. Limited to just 40 examples, you can buy the kit on Prior Design’s website for $7,000.
