Late last month, Apple unveiled its upcoming project with the newly acquired audio company, BeatsByDre. While the initial “leak” was certainly on par with what we were expecting from the two brands, the actual product has finally been revealed — and amidst positive critical acclaim, the new Powerbeats Pro have certainly hit the nail right on the head when it comes to workout headphones.
The problem with the original Powerbeats wasn’t in the functionality or aesthetics of the product — instead, it was the fact that consumers were provided with an incomplete, sport-oriented headphone that faltered in the face of sweat and water. The newly announced Powerbeats Pro have remedied both of these shortcomings, utilizing a new, hi-performance design that’s been built for ample use within exercise-related venues. A sweat- and water-resistant design couples with the Pro’s adjustable, secure-fit ear hooks and wireless architecture to bring you a pair of no-holds-barred true wireless headphones that are geared toward athletes and casual gymgoers alike. Active noise isolation and an enhanced dynamic tonal range work alongside Class 1 Bluetooth technology and nine hours of battery life to bring you the ultimate in essential sound, as well as hands-free “Hey Siri” support, independent volume and track control, and a variety of different colors from which to choose. The Powerbeats Pro will be available “soon” via Apple’s website for $250.
