Post Modern Skateboard

Maybe we oughta put our passionate impatience for hoverboards on the backburner for a bit and focus on some of the cool stuff that’s actually available right now. Case in point, the Post Modern Skateboard, available right now for $99 at Hammacher Schlemmer.

There’s no board here, just two 10-inch round wheels with platforms for your feet to rest on. While it looks simple, we’re hearing it takes a bit of practice to get the hang of things, as you move forward by leaning side to side. The Post Modern Skateboard does come with a connecting rod to keep the two skates together and help rookies get the basics down, and a promo video shows there are at least a handful of people in the world who can ride it well, bobbing, weaving, and even rolling over grass.
