These USA-Made Ultralight Campers Were Built For Off-Grid Adventures

If you own a 4×4 pickup truck and you’re keen on the idea of taking your bedded vehicle out into the wilderness, you might be interested in fitting the bed with a camper attachment. However, not all campers were made to survive the intense punishments of overlanding. Luckily, Port-Lite’s USA-made Expedition campers were made specifically with off-grid adventure in mind.

These camper attachments are available in two options, the Expedition One — made for regular bed pickup trucks — and the Expedition Two — designed for long bed pickups. Aside from their size difference, most of their other features are shared. That includes a durable, fully-molded composite construction (meaning they come fully-assembled), as well as Victron energy power and control systems, LED lighting, a water heater system, a fully-featured kitchen with a fridge/freezer and stovetop, a wet bath with a toilet, an outdoor shower, a convertible eating area, and a queen-sized bed. Pricing on the Expedition One starts at $65,000, whereas the Expedition Two begins at $70,000.
