
Over the last couple of years Porsche Design has released an increasing number of electronics penned by the iconic German design house. The brand has previously delivered USB drives, Huawei smartphones, speakers, and a tablet, though they’ve now pulled unveiled their most technologically-advanced items yet with two all-new lightweight laptop models with the Ultra One i7 and Ultra One i5.
Both models boast sleek designs ultra-thin profiles, measuring just 0.54” thin and weighing only 3.3lbs. Encased in a magnesium shell, the Ultra One i5 and i7 both sport a 15.6” full HD 10-point multi-touch screen display, fingerprint reader, “Cortana” voice assistant, Wifi + Bluetooth 4.2, USB, USB-A, USB-C, 3.5mm audio, and HDMI ports, and a premium Harman/Kardon amplified audio system. As the notebooks’ names imply, the primary difference between the two models is their Intel Core 8200Y processors. The i7 also gets 16GB of ram and a 1TB SSD hard drive while the i5 features 8GB of ram, and a 512GB SSD hard drive. Priced at $1,800 for the Ultra One i7 and $1,350 for the Ultra One i5, both laptops are currently available for preorder on the Porsche Design website.
