The running world is over-encumbered with shoe options, inundated with mediocre platforms that look to capitalize on the success of the industry’s greatest contributors. Porsche Design might not be the first name that comes to mind when speaking of fabled footwear companies, but in the automotive world, the prestigious brand has long been an adulated proprietor within the space — creating instead of copying, innovating instead of imitating, and defining instead of distorting. Now, they’ve teamed up with the athletic giant, Puma, to release a futuristic, all-original take on the modern running shoe — the HYBRID evoKNIT.
The HYBRID evoKNIT combines Porsche (and Puma’s) most innovative properties, integrating premium cushioning and exemplary rebound attributes into a single, lightweight package. Breathable inserts and a fully knitted upper adorn the exterior of the shoe, coupling with Puma’s proprietary HYBRID Foam, which utilizes NRGY beads for instant cushioning, and IGNITE foam for exceptional responsiveness no matter the surface. An evoKNIT lacing structure gives the shoe even more support, ensuring adequate reinforcement during hard cuts, turns, and traversals. On the rear of the shoe, large branding demarcates the partnership between the two prolific companies. The HYBRID evoKNIT is available now through Puma’s website for $200.
