Porsche 918 Spyder Off-Road Edition

Who needs a Cayenne? With this off-road capable 918 Spyder, you have both the power and the equipment to make it in the unforgiving landscape of the tundra, or maybe even the Baja 1000. It’s yet another tasteful concept by Rain Prisk, an automotive designer with a serious appetite for over-the-top off-road vehicles.

The concept appears to come complete with all the fixings for a proper outback rally car. How about a winch, big knobby tires, a sturdy roof rack, lighting up top, and brush guards for good measure? Combine that with the 918 Spyder’s 4.6 liter V8 boasting an output of up to 608hp, this is one fantastic concept we could only hope Porsche takes on as a pet project. Until then, we’ll have to rely on the Cayenne and Macan to fulfill our backcountry desires, though a little dreaming never hurt anybody, especially when it’s a rock-climbing sports car that’s haunting them.
