This Rally-Ready 911 Was Inspired By Porsche’s Early-Era Off-Road Racers

Over the years, we’ve seen our fair share of off-road Porsche builds. Whether it’s a legitimized Safari variant, or something a bit more conceptual, we’re huge fans of the formidable take on Germany’s infamous sports car. Now, delta4x4 has graced us with a rally-ready 911 that looks like it was built specifically for the Dakar.

The well-outfitted Porsche 911 that you see here is a more contemporary take than we’re used to, but it doesn’t make it any less interesting. Pulling obvious inspiration from the automotive manufacturer’s iconic rally platforms, the car boasts enhanced off-road fender flares, a newly-formatted hood with integrated PIAA auxiliary lights, and a functional roof rack for increased storage/tool housing. While these renders might be a bit offputting, you’ll be surprised to hear that the project is slated for an initial release next year, where it will hopefully take on Porsche’s lauded 444-horsepower twin-turbo, 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. Of course, all of this is hearsay until delta4x4 announces its specs prior to release — but we can dream, can’t we? Head to the company’s Facebook for a closer look.
