Theon Design Sets Its Sights On Singer With A Perfect 964 Porsche Restomod

At first glance, you might mistake this 911 restomod to be the work of a certain Sun Valley Porsche specialist (it rhymes with ringer). However, the car was actually built by UK-based Theon Design. And while the company is something of an upstart compared to the rest of the auto industry, founder Adam Hawley’s 20-plus years of experience working for BMW, Jaguar, Lotus, and Lexus means that it’s well-equipped for success.

In practice, you’ll find that Theon’s third bespoke commission — dubbed ‘HK002’ — has been executed with only the utmost attention to detail. For instance, each body component is digitally scanned and modeled before being hand-beaten to shape. As such, this 964 now wears a mix of steel and carbon fiber, with a longer hood inspired by early 911s, some wheel arches reminiscent of its widebody successors, and a set of electrically-adjusted mirrors taking influence from the 991 Speedster concept. What’s more, Theon Design has customized the cabin with a tasteful mix of classic and contemporary, fitting it with some Spinneybeck Recaro seats and even hiding 21st-century tech, like a backup camera and a wireless charger. Powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.8L flat-six, it’s good for 371hp and 300lb-ft of torque. You can build yours for £300,000 (~$420,000).
