Teaching adolescents to drive may, or may not be a parent’s most gutwrenching experience, but the days of learning the rules of the road at a young age aren’t behind us, quite yet. Thanks to Polaris’ new Ranger Youth Side-By-Side ATV, you’ll be able to take advantage of your favorite trails and off-road areas with your kids, while also teaching them how to pilot a vehicle.

The Polaris Ranger Youth is a tame, 150cc side-by-side that’s been produced for those aged 10 years and up, and features a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, and a dual-shock front and rear suspension offering eight inches of ground clearance to help drivers navigate tough obstacles with ease. However, since the platform is focused on precautionary measures, parents will be able to control things like maximum speed and output, geofencing, and vehicle ignition through a smartphone app, thanks to Polaris’ intuitive interface and safety options. This, paired with the Ranger Youth’s protective cage, seatbelt interlocking system, nets, and safety flag makes the $5,499+ model all the more attractive for outdoor enthusiasts looking to take their kids along for the ride. Head to Polaris’ website for more info.
