Looks like military personnel just got a cool new toy to play with while we lonely civilians must sit back and admire with envy. Just this week Polaris Defense, a division of Polaris Industries, announced the addition of this high-performance MRZR turbo diesel (MRZR-D) to its MRZR off-road vehicle lineup. This ain’t your grandmother’s golf cart.
All vehicles within the MRZR lineup feature redefined ultralight, off-road mobility for American military forces and are mission critical for both U.S and Allied forces to meet and complete mission demands and threats. Those who are familiar with the lineup will find many of the same features, including the power plant, payload, towing, ground clearance, accessories, and handling, within this new build. It’s also air liftable by the V22 Osprey helicopter and is offered in different configurations between two and six seats. In addition, the new MRZR is graced with increased auxiliary power with greater range than its predecessors, though exact figures were not disclosed. Looks like we’ll have to wait for its worldwide debut, set for the 2016 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, Florida at the end of the month, to learn more. Too bad it’s not for sale.
