Pillbox Honors Legendary Players With Their Portrait Baseball Bats

Category: Gear

Known as “America’s Pastime,” baseball is not great simply because of the team-orientation or the athleticism required for the sport, but rather because of the stories that surround it. And at the center of every one of those stories are people — humans who have often ascended, sometimes from nothing, to become legends the world over. Pillbox is now honoring some of those baseball greats with their new Artist Series Portrait Bats.

Made in Minnesota out of solid Ash, each of these bats features meticulously-painted artwork designed by Harrison Freeman, then finished with a urethane coating to ensure the art stays pristine. Each of the eight options features a different player from across generations of the sport — including Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, and even Ken Griffey Jr. Made to order with a lead time of 2-4 weeks, these beautiful USA-made homages can be yours for $240 apiece.
