Period Correct & Hot Wheels Collide In A Collab Inspired By Group B Rally Cars

The 1980s are widely regarded as the golden era of rally racing amongst motorsport enthusiasts, and it’s for good reason. With little technological restrictions, unlimited boost potential, and incredibly lax homologation requirements (only 200 production cars were required to be competition eligible), the decade saw some of the most ludicrous vehicles to ever hit the WRC circuit.

In celebration of this iconic age in automotive history, Period Correct and Hot Wheels have linked up for a collaboration inspired by two automotive legends: the Ford RS200 and the Lancia 037. Headlining the collection are undoubtedly the die-cast model cars. Made to be 1:64 scale of the originals, they feature an impressive attention to detail, with custom-painted Period Correct livery, replica race wheels, and miniaturized aerodynamic elements amongst just some of what you can expect. And when it comes to the apparel pieces, Period Correct has outdone itself this time. Available in both blue 037 and green RS200 varieties, they include everything from tees printed with the cars’ technical specs to cobranded caps to block color team puffers, each with its own rally-ready aesthetic. Head over to the link below to grab some of the collection for yourself.
