Not all car camping is purposed for those looking to take the path of least resistance. Sometimes, car camping is necessary when setting up location in the far-flung untouched regions of our world. These are the badlands – where preparation is key to backcountry survival. It’s for these situations where the Patriot Campers X1 Grand Tourer comes in handy – voted Camper Trailer Australia Magazine’s top camper trailer of the year for four straight years. Now, it’s available right here in the US.

Both strong and lightweight, the Grand Tourer comes complete with a galvanized and interlocked chassis that equips the camper trailer with enough strength to tow more than two-thirds its own weight. Its adjustable air suspension also keeps it clear of rocks and various debris, a rear hitch can accommodate a bike rack, pressurized air inlets prevent dirt and dust from entering various storage compartments, and a monocoque aluminum body not only ups the durability but also adds a sleek element to its overall aesthetic. There’s also a slide out kitchen, over 2000 liters of storage, and comes with an attached camping tent and awning that can be deployed in minutes.
