Patagonia’s rough and rugged daypacks have always inspired the adventurer in all of us, but the fact remains that a number of the company’s offerings don’t translate well from trail to the blacktop. Thankfully, the brand has introduced the Stand Up Bag Collection — four new models that tackle everything from urban adventures to expeditionary day trips.
The Patagonia Stand Up Bag Collection was devised to bridge the gap between outdoor and urban use, calling upon reinforced organic cotton, canvas, and TPU coating. The first, dubbed Stand Up Belt Bag 3L, is a versatile, waist-worn bag that calls upon a waterproof, ripstop-reinforced TPU-film laminate to keep your everyday essentials protected. The next — an adaptable, three-way system known as the Stand Up Pack 18L — boasts a briefcase-style layout that transitions from the trail to the street with a padded laptop sleeve that can also accept a hydration reservoir. The capsule’s Stand Up Tote 23L boasts a picnic-ready orientation with an internal stash pocket and components crafted from 100% organic cotton webbing. Finally, the Stand Up Duffel 42L, which calls upon a zippable doctor’s bag‒style closure, TPU-film laminate, and a two-layer organic cotton/ polyester canvas, acts as a versatile shoulder-slung carrier. Head to Patagonia’s website to peruse the collection, and pick up one of your own for $79 and up.
