Parachute’s First-Ever Lounge Chair Is a Beautiful Mid-Century Inspired Piece

You’re probably familiar with Parachute’s catalog of bedsheets and homeware, but its brand-new lounge chair sets a new standard for what to expect from the brand. While it dipped its toes in the furniture world before, the Leather Sling Chair is as good as it gets.

Inspired by mid-century Spanish furniture, the new release proves that keeping things simple can still be cool, not to mention enviously comfortable. It is based around a sustainably-sourced solid oak frame with a contrasting walnut detail, making it as sturdy as it is sleek. Then, it is finished using fine vegetable-tanned leather. Like any other high-quality chair, this material will conform and stretch as time passes, ultimately making it the perfect seat for watching the game or simply sitting back to relax.

This foray into seating may surprise those primarily familiar with Parachute’s luxe bedding and towels, but it was bound to happen. Just last year, the SoCal-based manufacturer churned out its posh, California-inspired Pillow lineup, composed of high-end sofas and more. That said, this new release is fully separate from the previous collection, leaving room to anticipate what more the direct-to-consumer brand has to offer. So, whether you want to line its first-ever lounge chair alongside the rest of its pieces or simply add it to your current set-up, there’s no room for error.
