Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1
Forget the iPhone 6, LG G3, or Galaxy S5; if you’re looking for the best camera you can get in a smartphone, Panasonic just busted down your front door.
The Lumix DMC-CM1 seems to be a camera first, then an Android -powered phone, as its 1-inch 20MP sensor is the largest of any phone out there. That massive (for a phone) sensor is matched with an F2.8 Leica lens which delivers an equivalent focal length of 28mm, and you get full manual control over your shots if you like. Another feature that sets the Lumix DMC-CM1 apart: the ability to shoot RAW. Besides the glorious camera, the rest of the phone’s specs sound pretty solid too, with a 4.7-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S801 quad-core processor, and 16GB of internal memory. Of course with all those photos you’ll be taking you’ll need some more room, and that’s where the microSD-card slots come in with room for up to 128GB. Look for it in November with a price tag around $1,100.
