OtterBox Trooper Soft Coolers

Though most people probably still recognize OtterBox as phone case-manufacturers, they’ve recently expanded into the realm of food storage – namely by making some excellent hard coolers. Now they’re expanding that line ever further with a pair of soft-sided adventures coolers – both named the Trooper.

The first of them, the Trooper 20, can store 20 quarts within (for those counting, that’s 28 standard beer cans). It’s sister bag, called the Trooper LT 30, fits – you guessed it – 30 quarts (or 50 cans). They’re both rated at IP65 for water-resistance, as well as boasting resistances to chemicals and puncturess. And they’re leakproof, so you’ll never have to worry about them dripping on your other gear – not that they would with their 72-hour ice retention. The 20 features a more standard cooler shape, with a latched lid, front pouch, and removable shoulder strap. The LT 30 has a doctor bag-style opening, dual exterior pockets, and the option for both backpack and shoulder-style carry. And, of course, they both come with the brand’s limited lifetime warranty. Pricing for these hardcore adventure soft-sided coolers starts at $250.

Purchase: $250+
