Who says the U.S gets to have all the fun in developing mean off-road vehicles. From these released images of the Otokar Cobra, it appears the Turkish military vehicle manufacturer Otokar Otobus Karoseri Sanayi, is doing just fine. Each Cobra is an armored vehicle with superior mobility that facilitates swift completion of the any mission.

In terms of safety, the optimized body angle of the Cobra monocoque hull provides ballistic protection for both the crew and valuable mechanical components within the vehicle. It features blackout lights, all-around vision blocks, thermal insulation kit, and plenty of gun ports for defense. The 4 speed automatic full-time 4×4 vehicle also gets you from 0-60 in 14 seconds, which isn’t all that bad considering it weighs seven tons and has the capacity for 9 people. Oh yeah, and did we mention it comes with an amphibious kit and can practically swim underwater? Not too bad for the Turkish Army.
