Oris Honors MLB Legend Roberto Clemente With A Special Auto Watch

Roberto Clemente is without-a-doubt one of the most celebrated major league baseball players of all time. Despite a wildly illustrious 18-season MLB career including two World Series titles, an MVP award and 12 consecutive Golden Glove awards, the Hall of Famer was equally well-known for his charity and philanthropic endeavors off the field. Though Clemente tragically died in a plane crash in 1972, he remains an icon in the baseball realm, as evidenced by Oris’ latest limited edition watch.

Based on the Swiss brand’s 40mm Big Crown Pointer Date, the Oris Roberto Clemente Watch features a number of aesthetic tweaks inspired by Clemente’s black, yellow, and gold Pittsburg Pirates jersey, including gold-painted on the dial and backs of the hour/minute markers. The case back boasts an engraved Roberto Clemente image above a serialized production number, while underneath is the Hölstein horologist’s automatic winding pointer date movement. Sold in a special #21 gift box, the watch comes with two bands: a light brown leather strap inspired by vintage baseball gloves; and a Pirates-themed NATO-style gold, white, and brown band. Limited to 3,000 units worldwide, the Oris Roberto Clemente Watch is available now with pricing set at $1,950.

Purchase: $1,950
