ORBITGear’s Latest Technical Jacket Changes Color With The Temperature

Category: Gear

ORBITGear is no stranger to extremely modern technical garments and bags, having spent the last dozen or so years producing high-end functional products bestowed with an unmistakably futuristic and fashion-forward spin. And the Jakarta-based design and manufacturing firm continues to refine its MO while maintaining its signature aesthetic with its latest technical jacket release: the ORBITGear W110-J React ‘Uranus’ Jacket.

Starting with the silhouette from ORBITGear’s W11-J, the W110-J React ‘Uranus’ features six pockets, a foldable hood, a two-way closure system with a snap button stabilizer, bonded construction, PES webbing, YKK zippers throughout, and a removable Jacket Sling System. What makes this item unique, however, is its use of a heat-reactive REACT fabric that dramatically changes color from green to a grayish brown depending on temperature. Produced in-house in small batches, the ORBITGear W110-J React ‘Uranus’ Jacket is available on the company’s website now — albeit in very limited numbers — with pricing set at $298.

Purchase: $298
