Fresh on the heels of the brand’s true wireless headphone collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, ON Running has now revealed the new shoe model that goes with the running-focused wireless earbuds with the all-new ON Running Cloudboom.
Built for use in marathons and road races, the Cloudboom is outfitted with a novel carbon fiber-infused Speedboard, and — for the first time — the Swiss footwear manufacturer has produced a dual-layer Cloudtec cushioning in Helion Superfoam. The shoe manages to be incredibly lightweight — tipping the scales at under 0.5lbs (or 7.94oz) — thanks to a single layer of featherweight mesh comprising the uppers. Strategically-reinforced sections allow the shoe to be fairly rugged in key-stress areas, resulting in the perfect balance of strength and weight. The bottom of the Cloudboom is lined with a new traction pattern that allows for markedly better grip while retaining the brand’s distinctive zig-zagging sole. Available for purchase on the company’s website, the ON Running Cloudboom carbon fiber-infused running shoes are available now, with pricing set at $200.
