Founded in 2010, On has carved out a reputation for producing footwear and athletic garments that push the envelope in terms of performance, technology, and sustainability, with a deep catalog of thoroughly cutting-edge, Swiss-engineered offerings. And while the brand is probably best-known for its high-performance running shoes, On has recently taken its knowledge and expertise in the premium footwear sector to deliver a decidedly modern pair of hiking boots.
Dubbed the “Cloudrock Edge Raw,” this ultra-limited production hiking boot sports a soft, high collar, padded liner, a 7mm heel-toe drop, and a reinforced tongue for optimal comfort and durability. Ample grip is also afforded by On’s Missiongrip soles, which feature a varied traction pattern that’s conducive to a wide range of terrains and conditions. Best of all, the Clockrock Edge Raw is made with 80% recycled polyester, a 30% recycled polypropylene Speedboard, a 5% recycled rubber sock-liner, and a 50% recycled wind and waterproof polyurethane membrane, making this On’s most sustainably-made offering to date. Weighing just 16.58oz (1.03lbs), the boot is also completely free of any dyes or bleach. Available now, the On Clockrock Edge Raw is priced at $250.
