Since the company’s inception in 2010, On has been an innovative force in the footwear sector with a growing catalog of ultra-high-performance boots and running shoes that have been developed for specific uses. For the Swiss outfit’s latest release, On has delivered a pair of high-end hiking boots that maintain the brand’s usual high standards and premium constructions, though afford markedly more versatility, giving way to what On is calling its “do-everything, go-anywhere hiking boot.”
Known as the Cloudridge, these utilitarian hiking boots combine elements of regular sneakers and On’s pro-level trail racing shoes. Weighing only 14.46oz per pair, the shoe features 3D mesh uppers with vegan suede detailing, a 7mm heel-toe drop, On’s FlexLock speed-lacing system, hiking-specific Speedboard, and Missiongrip outsoles. In total, the boots are crafted from more than 10% recycled materials, including utilizing 90% recycled polyester. Collectively these attributes make for an immensely versatile boot that lends itself to pretty much any and all non-Winter applications. Available now in two color options, the On Cloudridge has been priced at $210.
