Known for its high precision, sturdiness, readability, ease of use, and reliability, Omega’s Speedmaster chronograph was the first watch to be worn on the moon. So yeah, it’s that moon – the actual moon – being referenced in Omega’s newly updated Dark Side of the Moon collection of Speedmasters.
The four new models – Black Black, Sedna Black, Vintage Black, and Pitch Black – all feature the signature Omega Co-Axial 9300 caliber three-hand movement, along with a black ceramic case, crown, dial, and pushers. The Black Black’s highlight’s, for example, include a matte dial, brushed ceramic caseback ring, applied indices, black Super-LumiNova, and a nylon strap. If you’re looking for a little more contrast, the Sedna Black has 18-karat Sedna Gold components with a black leather strap. The Pitch Black features greenish SuperLuminova on the tachymeter scale, hands, and indices, while the Vintage takes it back, with a brown leather strap and vintage indices. The watches are priced from $10,750-$12,435. [Purchase]
