OMEGA Reintroduces A 1982 Icon With The Constellation Watch Collection

In 1982, OMEGA released the original gentleman’s watch: the Manhattan Constellation. The sapphire-glass adorned wristwatch was an instant hit, and quickly became one of the manufacturer’s most lauded variants. Now, almost 40 years later, the brand has decided to reintroduce the Constellation — and this time, they’re tailoring it for the true “gents” of wristwear.

The OMEGA Constellation Gents Collection brings a bold and sophisticated 41mm silhouette into the spotlight for today’s contemporary wearers. The suite boasts a handful of timeless traits, like the brand’s iconic claws, half-moon facets, and polished ceramic bezels — all of which pay homage to the original Manhattan example that was revealed 38 years ago. Buyers will be able to acquire the modern Constellation in either stainless steel or 18K gold, with both OMEGA Ceragold or Liquidmetal numerals, an accurate Master Co-Axial Calibre 8900/8901 movement, and a crystal-clad caseback, providing a refined, upscale example for the style-savvy guy. To keep the Constellation as modern as possible, OMEGA has also redesigned the timekeeper to take on a more slimline appearance, reducing the prominence of its hands, indices, and beveled edges.
