Omega 1957 Limited Edition Trilogy Watches
Omega sure knows how to celebrate an anniversary. Just this week at Baselworld they’ve announced a special re-release of three watches that were rolled out 60 years ago; the Speedmaster, Seamaster 300, and Railmaster. All three are going to be available both individually and as an Omega 1957 Trilogy Limited Edition Set.
Usually with a re-release you get something that is a rough copy of the original. Omega, however, has digitally scanned all of their original watches in an attempt to make these three as close to the original as possible. From small etches on the crystal, to minor details like a replica of the original 1957 packaging – these watches boast all of the same particulars of an original. While each are distinct in their own way – all of them have a brushed stainless steel case, feature a black ‘tropical dial’, and have a slightly deepened index for the faded Super-LumiNova. No word on specific price yet, but these will be made available in stores starting in May of this year. [Purchase]
