Los Angeles-based Oliver Peoples has been producing some of the best-looking eyewear in the world since the brand’s founding in 1986, while on the other side of the world, Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli has grown steadily from its humble late ‘70s origins to become a major force in the fashion industry and a favorite brand of James Bond. Now, these two companies have joined forces, and the result is somehow even more luxurious and stylish than we had expected.

Oliver Peoples and Brunello Cucinelli have come together for an autumn 2021 luxury eyewear collection, marking both Cucinelli’s first foray into eyewear and the brand’s first-ever collaboration with another company. The collection features five unique styles that take inspiration from classic Italian cinema and the architecture of Solomeo, the medieval hamlet that the Italian brand calls home. The collection includes acetate and metal frames in both clear and sunglass styles. The Nino sunglasses have a vintage-inspired round, horn-rimmed frame with a keyhole bridge that’s available in acetate or, for considerably more money, genuine horn. The Disoriano is a metal teardrop aviator-style sunglass with a double-bridge and genuine horn inlays, while the Artemio is a thin, round, metal pair of glasses that includes detachable clip-on tinted lenses. There’s also the Filu’, a bold, angular, oversized acetate sunglass that’s aimed at women, and rounding out the collection is an exclusive Olive Smoke colorway of the Oliver Sun, one of OP’s signature styles.

The entire Oliver Peoples x Brunello Cucinelli Collection is available now from the Oliver Peoples website, with prices ranging from $551 to $1,500.
