Olight S Mini Baton Flashlight
When it comes to everyday carry flashlights, smaller is usually always better – so long as you’re not sacrificing functionality. And it looks like that’s an idea Olight took to heart when they looked at their S1 model and wondered, “how can we make this better?” The thing is, they didn’t just make it smaller – they improved its functionality, as well.
Though their jumping off point was already a superb offering, what Olight managed to do with it is nothing shy of impressive. This new version is shortened from 2.4 inches down to 2.15 – and while that 10% difference may not seem like much, every fraction of an inch spared is a win in the EDC world (you’ve only got so much pocket real estate, after all). The really impressive part, however, is how they managed to squeeze an extra 10% of lumen-output and 5 days of possible runtime out of the same CR123A battery. That brings the totals up to 550 lumens and 30 days of operation. It also still retains a waterproof rating of IPX8, but it comes in a number of new finishes in both titanium and copper. Starting at just $66, you can get a bundle that includes your choice of flashlight, a battery, and a holster. [Purchase]
