Oak & Oscar The Humboldt Watch
Finding affordable and tasteful wristwear has become something of a rarity these days, but the Chicago-based watchmakers at Oak & Oscar are here to provide us with some sort of salvation. The Humboldt Watch is their first non-limited edition release — a clean, beautiful, and simplistic design built for exploration.
The 40mm watch features Swiss internals, a 316L stainless steel silhouette, and a rotating 12-hour bezel. It’s paired with a handmade Horween leather strap (or stainless steel bracelet) and a two-layer Super-LumiNova BGW9 sandwich dial that’s designed for increased legibility. The watch also utilizes drilled lugs, which provide the perfect middle-ground for consumers who like to switch out straps for different applications. Other notable descriptors are the inclusion of a 42-hour power reserve, a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, Oak & Oscar’s four-star rotor design, and 20ATM of water resistance that’s good up to 656 feet. The classic watch is slated for release in late spring of 2019.
