Nvidia Shield Gaming Tablet
Nvidia grabbed attention of the gaming world a year ago with its first Shield, a portable gaming device with a 5” screen attached to a full-size controller. Now, they’re adding to the Shield family.
The Shield Tablet is an 8” gaming-focused device with a 1920×1200 HD touch display, NVIDIA’s own Tegra K1 192 core Kepler GPU, a 2.2GHz ARM Cortex A15 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of on-board flash memory. When paired with the optional Shield wireless controller, you can play in a multitude of ways; Android, local PC, via the Cloud, or on your TV. It also features front-facing stereo speakers that are said to be booming, LTE connectivity, a Mini-HDMI port, front and rear 5MP cameras, and the new Shield supports game-casting to Twitch, so everyone can see how terrible you are at that game you play for three hours a day.
