NOMOS Unveils An Autobahn-Inspired Minimalist Bauhaus Watch

NOMOS Glashütte is no stranger to minimalist design; after all, the company has built its reputation off of designer Deiter Rams’ commitment to the lauded Bauhaus style. It’s also no secret that the brand is overtly proud of its German heritage. To honor one of the greatest examples of German innovation, the Autobahn, NOMOS has revealed the Autobahn Neomatik 41 Date — a beautifully-realized example that personifies the elements of speed and acceleration.

The NOMOS Glashütte Autobahn Neomatik 41 Date — designed by Werner Aisslinger — brings a number of interesting traits to the table for watch aficionados, including a white silver-plated silhouette, an elongated day/date window, and a SuperLuminova ring that follows the watch’s hour typography as it circles the dial. The Neomatik’s galvanized dial is protected by an anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal, allowing the platform’s in-house caliber DUW 6101 movement to provide years of accurate, precise timekeeping. On the exterior, a minimalistic winged clasp and textile strap round out the impeccable watch, providing yet another iconic example of NOMOS’ commitment to unwavering style. The Autobahn Neomatik 41 Date is available now via the company’s website for $4,800.
