While bolt-on motorcycle kits have existed for more than half-a-century, NMoto’s antique BMW R7-inspired “Nostalgia” marked a tremendous advancement in the space, representing the most transformative kit ever conceived by an enormous margin. And now, after releasing a Presidential-spec of the Nostalgia kit—and a more accessibly-priced version of its R7 kit dubbed the “R SevenT”—the Florida shop has pulled the cover off of its next wildly transformative bolt-on kit with the NMoto Golden Age.
Heavily-inspired by the 1936 Henderson Courtney Prototype, the Golden Age is built around BMW’s C400X scooter, though it’s been entirely reworked. The 350cc liquid-cooled single is now adorned in bulbous streamliner-style bodywork, complimented via a round headlight, a quilted seat, backlit Roundels, and a massive kidney bean grille. Interestingly, the controls don’t appear to be altered in any way, and the wheelbase also looks to be unchanged, meaning the Golden Age will likely retain much of the performance capabilities of the C400X donor. The company will also be offering the turn-key kit in a variety of retro-themed liveries. No information on availability or pricing has been revealed, though the NMoto Golden Age is slated for a release in the Spring of 2021.
