While headlamps provide easy handsfree light sources, they’ve traditionally been difficult and awkward to operate, with users having to blindly fiddle for control buttons on and around their foreheads. NITECORE’s latest release, the HU60, solves this issue, bestowing these traditional pieces of camping gear with wireless remotes that are worn like a wristwatch.
But the wireless remote is just the start of this impressive new offering. Boasting IP67 water resistance and an impact drop resistance to 3.2’, the light features aerospace-grade aluminum alloy housing with a HA II mil-spec hard-anodized finish and is paired with a breathable elastic headband. The HU60’s quad CREE XP-G3 S3 emitter setup — which is supplemented via a single CREE XHP35 HD E2 unit — puts out an impressive 1,600 max lumens which it can throw for as far as 535’. The HU60 also sports an advanced temperature regulation module, a patent-pending flood lamp to spotlight adjustable focus, and a potent battery that affords up to 45 hours of burn time. And, on top of offering a 170-degree field of illumination, the headlamp’s chassis can tilt another 100-degrees. Pricing has yet to be revealed, though for more information you can check out the NITECORE website linked below.
